Fantastic family run business. From start to finish I cannot rate Marilyn (mum) and Dave (son) more highly. We bought a motorhome in June that had beautiful upholstery but not practical with 2 dogs, so wanted to change to leather or faux leather. Got a number of quotes for real & faux leather, A1 were the most competitive. They gave us lots of advice and various free samples sent to us to choose from. Free collection and delivery service and the end result is amazing, the reupholstered covers look fantastic. Would definitely recommend A1 it was a pleasure doing business with them.
Recent customers who needed upholstery to complete a self-build campervan.Working during lockdown can't have been easy. We had conversations with about 20 upholsterers - some local non-specialists, some specialist 'leisure vehicle' upholsterers - all over the country in fact. We got quotes from them all, having provided 3D images from CAD of the exact layout and dimensions. Of all the ones we spoke to, A1 were head and shoulders above the rest. They responded quickly, did what they said they would do, and gave the best price as well. They arranged for fabric samples to be delivered to us, and we were able to choose safely in our own home. They then made, and personally delivered the cushions to us 150miles away from their base, having pulled out all the stops to get the job finished and delivered in time for us to use the van the next day.The quality of the workmanship and finish is far in excess of what I could have hoped for. Little things like the quality of the piped edges (which I wasn't expecting to get but am thrilled I did) and the fact the buttons are set such that they're central in the visible area of the cushions when all in place all make me dead happy we chose them. I was a little worried about it being done remotely, but the quality is good, the service was good, and the price was good. I won't say how much but suffice to say compared to other 'specialists', there was a very considerable saving to be made which would pay for quite a lot of nice kit to go in a van....
We bought a touring caravan relatively cheaply and inherited some very dated floral patterned soft furnishings. I contacted A1 caravan and motorhome upholstery to enquire about having the whole van reupholstered and they were brilliant. They gave a fair quote and sent fabric samples through the post. The cushions were collected from my home and delivered back to me at home within the agreed timescale and honestly we could not be happier with the results. Our cheap little old caravan has been given a new lease of life! Very highly recommended.

We were made welcome and were told to take our time to pick what we wanted. We did take ages to decide but we never felt pushed. They came out and removed all the upholstery, redid it and brought it back. We went for the option to have all new foam and that was a good choice. Just before it was due back we had a phone call to ask us if we wanted the backs buttoned, (the original was buttoned on the seats but the backs were straight). They told us it was no extra cost, but that it would look better with the backs buttoned as well, which we decided to do. The end result when it was brought back was excellent. From start to finish they couldn’t have been more helpful. Excellent. Would recommend to anybody."
